Join us for a magical dog sledding tour through the Arctic winter night, while (with a bit of luck) the Aurora Borealis dances across the sky.
With headlamps and the help of our trusty dogs, our guides will drive you safely through the frozen beauty of the mountain landscape surrounding our center on Kvaløya. Before we start, you will receive thermal overalls and boots to keep you warm in the arctic winter night. And then we are off! You will share the sled with a friend and be out on the trail for 45-60 minutes depending on the weather conditions.
After we return, you will get a tour of the dog yard and meet our puppies, before we serve dinner in our cozy Gamme-hut. A steaming bowl of Bacalao, a traditional Norwegian fish dish made of local produce, and a cup of hot coffee or tea, served around an open fire will warm you right up after your adventure (vegetarian alternative available upon preliminary request). While you eat and relax, your guide will keep an eye on the sky and inform you about any Aurora activity. After a last goodbye to the dogs, we bring you back to Tromsø.

Cancellation by the customer:
Cancellations of groups up to 10 guests free up to 48 hours before departure. For group bookings of 11+ guests, cancellations are free up to 1 month prior to the tour date, when the minimum billable group size must be confirmed. Final numbers must be confirmed 1 week before departure.
Meeting time is 15 minutes before departure. Please be on time for departure, missed departures are not refundable. Make sure your travel insurance covers missed/cancelled/delayed flights or boats, sickness and other unforeseen circumstances that may lead to missing the tour.
Any cancellation 29 days for group bookings or 48 hours or less for individual bookings before departure time is not refundable. The cancellation deadline includes failure to attend the activity due to any circumstance not directly caused by Northern Horizon or its Suppliers. We strongly recommend having travel insurance that will cover your expenses in these cases.

We reserve the right to cancel the activity at any point for safety reasons or if the activity cannot be completed due to natural causes such as lack of snow. In this event, you will be offered a choice of alternative activities or to cancel and receive a full refund.
We or the supplier reserve the right to change activity locations without prior notice. In such an event the booking department will do everything possible to get in touch with you before the activity starts. A change of location would only take place for necessary safety reasons or due to conditions such as snow or weather on which the activity depends. Northern Horizon and Partners are not liable for any injuries or lost or damaged items.
Customers data safety The Company is keeping and safeguarding Customers personal data in a confidential and secure way. Customer’s personal data is stored in our booking system (currently Zaui), mailboxes, and accounting documentation. Computers on which we access Customer’s Personal Data are accessible to authorized persons only and are password protected. Personal data shall not be disclosed to third parties unless the customer is joining a partner tour or activity. Then the customers’ information will be transferred to the Companys’ partner. We have carefully chosen our partner companies and we believe that they are also GDPR compliant, however, we cannot take responsibility for their individual policies. The customers' personal data will be retained for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes defined in this Policy.
